Wordsworth portrays death as it appeals to the little girl’s emotions and imagination. “Then did the little Maid reply/ ‘Seven boys and girls are we/ Two of us in the church-yard lie/ Beneath the church-yard tree’.” (Greenblatt, 278). For example, William Wordsworth wrote a beautiful poem called “We are Seven” and it deals with a little girl who has lost two siblings to death. Because death has such a strong impact on the living, Romanticism sought to explore it. Some Romantic poems focus on death’s appeal to people’s emotions and imagination. ![]() The Romantic Era brought new and fascinating views on death. Thus, death is portrayed in a unique way. Rather, because it was such an inventive time, most poems sent messages of hope. This does not necessarily mean that the poems during this period were “light and airy”. These words accurately display the mindset of the Romantic Period, and it sets the stage for Romantic literature. Duncan Wu’s Romanticism says that the word “Romantic” meant “fanciful”, “light”, and “inconsequential” (Wu, xxx). In The Roots of Romanticism by Isaiah Berlin, it says that Romanticism was the most recently largest movement to transform the lives of the Western World (Berlin, 1). And more concepts of life and death were pondered. This is a time when society was exploring more, discovering more, and thinking more. There are many different views on death in Romantic literature especially. Each person-each author-has their own view on death, dying, leaving this world and going onto the next, or maybe just decaying into the dust, cold and forgotten. Death is a unique topic, in that there is no one particular view on death. From the loss of soldiers in Wordsworth’s ballads to Beth’s heartbreaking illness in Little Women, it is a strong, emphatic, impactful subject matter. Throughout literature, death is a commonly used topic. You should never use water to put out a Class B fire, as the water will spread the fuel source and thus, the fire. Keep in mind that these are interpretations of real-world locations. For example, Suzanne, a monkey, could have a kart themed after Val Verde, in addition to the Blender Project which she represents. However, choosing a region may be precise enough for a themed kart. In most cases, choosing one of these is not sufficient for inspiration for artwork. These are countries, continents, or just general areas that are in the STK universe. They are also not equivalent to a track, because a track takes place in a fictional location, and is yet another interpretation of that location. They are interpretations of real-world places. Many of these are heavily influenced by real-world places, but you will see that they are not exactly the same. Places are fictional locations which affect the style of artwork. The track is also unrealistic and caricatural enough to not appear grim, and open areas prevent it from feeling oppressive. However, note that it includes both light areas (like the hall directly behind the start line) and dark areas (the rest of the track). Fort Magma is an excellent example of this. Tracks and karts can be spooky-themed, however. Children often don’t notice satire, so you cannot rely on satire to lighten gloomy artwork. An RPG is more like a video-things change, and there’s a plot. Each track, arena, or kart has a sort-of background, but that does not really appear prominently in the game. It is important to make sure that your artwork fits into this universe-if it doesn’t, it will not become part of SuperTuxKart, though it is still welcome on the Add-Ons Website. This article details the way things are in the SuperTuxKart Universe (known as the Mascot Kingdom). ![]() If you want more, then you’ll need another subscription for additional devices (one for each, and mobiles aren’t covered, just PCs).
